Österlen lyser (Österlen shines) is a festival of light that usually takes place in late in October or early November, when the villages of Österlen are illuminated by torchlight processions, light installations, and illuminated buildings. There is plenty of food, drink, and entertainment along the way, and it is a popular feature of the autumn darkness.

Sandhammaren's silky white sand has made the beach the best in Sweden several times. Experience the kilometer-long beach, which is one of Skåne's most popular. The sea outside Sandhammaren is actually Sweden's largest ship graveyard. There is a lighthouse from the 1860s that offers guided tours in the summer.
