Welcome to a renovated and very well-maintained house in Hjälteby, Kållekärr – a place that offers relaxation, summer idyll and memorable days with family and friends.

The house is located on northern Tjörn surrounded by its diverse nature, which is perfect for cycling, hiking, canoeing and salty archipelago adventures.

There are four bedrooms here, providing plenty of space for both family and friends. Two bedrooms with double beds and two more bedrooms with single beds each. The entire house has been tastefully renovated and is in very good condition. Neutral colors meet tasteful wallpaper and finally a splash of color as a contrast in the kitchen. The living room is spacious, has a fireplace and large, lovely windows. Land on the sofa and look out over Bohuslän's beautiful nature. Bathroom with toilet and shower and practical laundry room are available.

The large terrace and several patios make it easy to follow the sun throughout the day – from morning coffee in peace and quiet to long, lovely summer evenings with a barbecue and company.

300m to the sea with sun-warmed cliffs. There are many nice swimming coves and also larger swimming areas in the vicinity so no day needs to be the same.

The location is ideal for those who want to combine peace and nature with experiences. The area offers beautiful hiking in the forest and land, bike rides in scenic environments and proximity to the sea with swimming, boating and salty dips during the summer.

If you want to explore the sea, there is a mootorboat available for rent (20hp) with electric start and steering console. It comes equipped with a GPS sonar to find the fish easier. The boat is booked and paid for on site.

If you would like to glide silently across the water, there are also 2 kayaks available for rent. These are booked and paid for on site as well.

Visit Kyrkesund (14 km) with picturesque archipelago houses and fishing huts, the Nordic Watercolour Museum in Skärhamn (14 km) or the unique Pilane sculpture park (11 km) where large-scale works of art meet the open coastal landscape.

There are many attractions and charming archipelago communities on both Tjörn and Orust. Shopping in Stenungsund (12 km) or day trip to Gothenburg with more shopping, restaurants and the well-known amusement park Liseberg (58 km) which is a must!

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
