Delightful holiday home with outdoor spa and sauna In this beautiful luxury house for 16 people, located at Houstrup Beach, you can enjoy your holiday with the whole family. In addition to its location near the North Sea and the holiday towns of Blåvand and Henne Strands, the house boasts a wealth of activities both outside and inside the property.

The holiday home's own pool area ensures you can enjoy a swim whatever the season. The holiday home's saltwater pool is equipped with Roman steps, a swimming trainer and a water slide. The feeling of wellness continues outdoors, where you will find a lovely outdoor spa and an outdoor sauna – so you can also enjoy a relaxing swim.

In the wonderful activity room, you are ready for hours of fun when the whole family competes against each other. Here you will find a pool table, table tennis, table football and darts. If you prefer to be a spectator, you can take a seat in the cosy bar, where you can enjoy a cool refreshment. In addition, there is a cosy TV corner where you can relax and watch a good film.

In the middle of the house, you will find the well-equipped kitchen-dining area with plenty of space for cooking large meals – and a wine cooler for the bottles you bring with you. When it's time to enjoy dinner, the whole family can sit down at the long dining table in front of the kitchen, which offers a direct view of the pool room. On cool days, you can light the wood-burning stove in the living room while enjoying a board game or a good book on the sofa.

Outside, there is also plenty of space for fun and games on the partially covered terrace, which, in addition to an outdoor spa and sauna, also has garden furniture and a barbecue. While the food is cooking on the barbecue, the children can play in the garden, where there is an in-ground trampoline and a play tower with a swing.

About the area

About Houstrup Strand

Here, the ocean is hidden behind the large dunes where you can find shelter in one of the hollows. A part of the beach is for nudists while the other part is for everyone else. The access to the beach is covered by wood chips, making it easier for families with children or walking-impaired to cross the dunes. You are not allowed to drive on the beach but there is free parking close to the beach. Do remember to enjoy your walk to the beach which gives you a beautiful sight of the open spaces and good sandy beach.

The area surrounding Houstrup Strand has an interesting and varied wildlife. The nearby Blåbjerg Plantation is a lovely natural area we can only recommend you explore. You can go for walks or bike rides in the plantation and experience Denmark's largest dune that rises 64 M.A.S.L. There are Put and Take fishing lakes, pay and play golf courses and horseback riding in the area and finally you will find the region's largest water park at Houstrup Strand.

Houstrup Strand is also a good starting point for a number of trips, approx. 15 km from Houstrup Strand you can visit Bork which during the summer has a lifelike Viking village with Viking ships sailing Ringkøbing Fjord or you can take the children to the indoor play centre also located in Bork. Some of the largest attractions of the area, e.g. Legoland or Givskud Zoo, are located approx. 1 hours drive from Houstrup Strand.

The south western coast is a summer paradise. Nothing compares to the wide and sandy beaches, high dunes and cosy hollows where you can settle down and enjoy your privacy.

For many tourists, the visit to the south western coast means love at first sight. This place offers everything: Long walks under the blue sky, the clouds with their strange forms changing all the time while you are comfortably lying on the beach listening to the sound of the waves, perfect wide beaches where to fly a kite and the sea and the Ringkøbing Fiord - the windsurfers’ paradise. If you prefer to remain at the edge of the water, you can collect amber and shells. Each and everyone can feel free and at ease. Outside the summer season, when the wind blows heavily, there is a really special atmosphere at the west coast. Feel the wind in your hair and return to your cosy house for a nice cup of coffee in front of the fireplace.

In this area you will find the famous holiday resorts like Blåvand and Henne Strand. Blåvand is situated at the westernmost point in Denmark, surrounded by water with the Ho Bugt to the east, the Esperance Bugt to the south and the North Sea to the west. When going a little bit northward on the coast you will find Henne Strand. Both holidays resorts are known for their beach life, shopping and activities for children. The magnificent nature here is consisting in heather areas, dunes and beaches. A summer holiday in this part of Denmark means a fantastic beach holiday.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and directions

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement containing all necessary information. On the first page you will find information about the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a directions on how to find the house. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due dates.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key as well as an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses (electricity, heating, water, etc.) are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you can not reach your destination until eg. late evening, our local offices will be closed. Therefore please contact us in time to make arrangements with regards to the key and the deposit. Extras

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils, duvets and pillows necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can be rented at the local office or online, if you prefer not to bring these items yourselves.

When you book a baby cot, please note that we can not guarantee space for the cot in the master bedroom. If the house description say there is a cot in the house and you only need one, booking is unnecessary.

You can also book delivery of the extras you rent. This way you do not need to drive several times between the holiday home and local office.

Please note that in high season, extras might be sold out. Therefore we recommend you to always book extras and final cleaning when booking your holiday home.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
