Cozy cottage in Fäxhult, an idyll within easy walking distance of Holsjön. Perfect location for relaxation, swimming and excursions!

Whether you want to rest from work or work while you unwind (stable internet connection is available for those who want to be able to combine time off with remote work), you have found the right place. This is a place created for moments that let you breathe out and spend your time exactly as you want. On your own, with family or with friends. Quiet or active. You choose. There is always room for a moment of enjoyment here.

In the kitchen you have most of what you could possibly need for a wonderful stay. The water is drawn from a deep well, it can have a slight tint in color sometimes but is perfectly fine to drink. The living room with its nice light has a large window overlooking the patio, where you can sit down in the outdoor furniture and maybe put something good on the grill. The cottage has a bedroom with a double bed and a fresh bathroom with toilet, shower and washing machine. In the annex there are two more beds in single beds.

Morning coffee on the veranda to the sound of birdsong. A morning swim in the lake, a walk along the forest paths or a run in the fresh morning air. The area around Holsjön and Holsljunga is suitable for both those who want to rest close to nature and those who like to make things up during their holiday. Nearby there are shallow sandy beaches, nice hiking and cycling trails and good opportunities for fishing. At Holsljunga Camping & Café you can rent a rowing boat, kayak, SUP or bicycles during the season and discover the lake and the surroundings at your own pace.

The forests here are rich in both berries and mushrooms - from blueberries and lingonberries to chanterelles and funnel chanterelles. And if you get the urge for ice cream, coffee or a simple summer lunch, Holsljunga Camping & Café is just a short distance away. For those who enjoy shopping, Sweden's largest department store, Ge-Kås in Ullared, is also about 30 minutes away by car.

This is a place you quickly get used to and it's hard to leave without already longing to go back!

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
