A genuine holiday home with nature close at hand. The cottage is rural and free just outside Örkelljunga. Enjoy the tranquility and nature. Walk in the forests that surround the cottage. On the spacious terrace you enjoy both morning coffee and your barbecue evenings.
The entrance to the cottage is via the large terrace. You enter the part that has two toilets, one with a washing machine. There is also a separate shower room with two showers. No queue in the morning here not. The kitchen is open to a spacious dining area and a TV corner. The kitchen has all equipment and access to the terrace. In the living room you have a sofa bed that can be used as two extra beds. One of the bedrooms has a double bed and one has a bunk bed. The plot is surrounded by forest and the lawn is excellent for all family activities. The owner lives 150 m away along the gravel road. They have sheep and ducks. The vomiting of the sheep gives you the extra rural feeling.
The area where your cottage is located is idyllic and very scenic. In the forests there are nice walking paths and bike paths. Why not go on a mushroom or berry picking trip. A larger public bathing area is located at Mamma's bay in Hjälmsjön. There is a handicapped-accessible lake bath with jetty and barbecue area. Hjälmsjön is widely known by canoeists and rowers for its mirror-shiny water. Here you will also find perch, bream, pike, pikeperch, roach and trout. Fishing license valid. A bit north of Örkelljunga is Kungsbygget's adventure park. At Hallandsåsen you can visit Vallåsen's ski resort in winter. A short drive away are the beaches in Vejbystrand and also the metropolis Båstad.
There are several golf courses in the area, the closest being Örkelljunga Golf Club. Örkelljunga also has one of the country's best mini golf courses. A few miles north, at Markaryd, is the elk park, a fantastic excursion destination for the whole family.
Experience the unique Swedish skerries. Rent a canoe or kayak and paddle among the thousands of small islands with raw and naked rocks or the bigger, forest-clad islands that are easy to reach from the main land.

The midsummer party in Sweden is truly unique. To many it is a symbol of the lightness, the light and the life force symbolic of the Nordic summer. Midsummer in Sweden is the biggest celebration of solstice in Scandinavia.
When the most Swedish of Swedish parties approach, the whole country is exited. Midsummer is traditionally a feast celebrated with family and friends, but if you are a tourist you are welcome to join the festivities. It is celebrated all over the country - by the coast, in the skerries, by idyllic lakes, in the mountains or one of the islands. All is good, as long as there is plenty of pristine and diverse nature around.
Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.
On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.
If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.
Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.
On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.
All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.
On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.
All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.
If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.
If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
