About the holiday home

A homely holiday home with a fantastic location and a bathrobe's distance from the beach and the bathing jetty. The plot is lush, green and private with a sea view. Here you are close to all the excursion destinations of the Bjäre peninsula with small fishing villages, restaurants and farm shops. There is a rich network of cycle paths and hiking trails with fantastic views.

The cottage has a living room with comfortable seating, dining table and fireplace. TV is mpdern and the cottage has free wifi. The kitchen has all the equipment and dishwasher as well as a dining table. One bedroom has two single beds. One bedroom with access to the outside has a single bed and a bunk bed. The laundry room has a shower and washing machine. The toilet has an outside exit (but a small hidden passage from the bedroom. The spacious terrace is partly covered, has outdoor furniture and a barbecue. The unique location of the plot gives you both coolness, sun and shelter on windy days. Take a morning dip from the stone pier or wade out to the small beach next door. Alternatively, there is a guest cottage with several sleeping places.

Öllövs strand is a smaller holiday home area. You two larger public beaches are very close by. The coast from Ängelholm to Torekov has several small strawberry spots

Bjärehalvön has become famous for its potato fields and it is not uncommon for the first new potatoes of the season to be delivered from here. Vegetables, meat and potato vodka are small-scale local production and give a feeling of love and quality when you visit one of the many farm shops. Torekov's picturesque harbor is lined with many small restaurants. Ferries run from the harbor to Halland's Väderö. Here you will find a magically beautiful nature reserve. Ängelholm offers an exciting mix of small specialty shops, exclusive boutiques and several large chains. Ängelholms Hembygdspark is an oasis for the whole family. The park houses a zoo, museum buildings and a playground for the younger ones. There are walking paths, rest areas and eating areas. For those interested in fishing, there is a varied sport fishing in Rönne å and Västersjön. A fishing license is required. There are several golf courses in the area, the closest being Åkaregårdens golf club.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
