Welcome to Bjällansås on the scenic Bokenäset peninsula – a place where tranquillity, the sea and the Bohuslän archipelago set the tone for your holiday. The apartment is located in a pleasant residential association with modern holiday homes in semi-detached houses and smaller groups of houses, just a stone’s throw from the water. The surroundings offer refreshing sea swims, forest walks and beautiful coastal scenery that invites you to both relax and explore.

The area was built in 1993 and has been renovated in recent years, giving you a bright and fresh apartment with a modern feel. The entrance hall has space for outerwear, and right next to it is the bathroom with a toilet, washbasin and shower. The kitchen and living room have an open and sociable layout with a dining area and comfortable seating, while the beautiful sea view accompanies you throughout your holiday.

The apartment has two bedrooms. One is furnished with a double bed (2 × 80 cm) with a large mattress topper. The other has a spacious single bed (90 cm) as well as a practical, though simpler, upper bunk (80 cm) that can easily be folded down when needed.

From Bjällansås, you are ideally located for exploring some of Bohuslän’s most popular attractions. Meet the animals at Nordens Ark, go swimming or catch crabs in one of the many sheltered bays, or take the ferry to the charming villages of Fiskebäckskil and Lysekil. There you can visit Havets Hus, enjoy cosy ice cream cafés and explore the pleasant surroundings. For those looking for more active experiences, there are opportunities to rent kayaks, explore hiking trails or join boat trips through the archipelago. You can also take a day trip to Smögen with its famous pier, or to Tjörn and the Pilane sculpture park.

At the same time, there is every reason to stay close to home and simply enjoy the area. Take a morning swim from the rocks, spend the day at the beach or gather the family at one of the barbecue areas for an al fresco dinner.

The sea-facing patio makes it easy to alternate between relaxing hours by the water and comfortable breaks in the apartment. Perhaps enjoy a homemade lunch before your next swim, or take a moment to rest in the shade before continuing with the day’s adventures. For families with children, the proximity to the beach is particularly convenient – the little ones can easily return to the apartment for a rest or snack without the whole family having to get in the car. There is also a playground in the area.

The area is hilly and includes some stairs, but the reward is the constant proximity to beautiful sea views. It is easy to stop for a moment, enjoy the scenery and then continue your walk. Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
