Welcome to live with a brilliant sea view in a sunny, detached annex with its own entrance and its own parking in beautiful Hällestrand. Take a morning walk down to the sea for a morning swim, then eat a lovely breakfast on the terrace. Then take on the day by choosing between experiencing the sea and swimming on one of Hällestrand's beaches, hiking on seaside paths among bare hills and mystical pine forests, stopping to look over archipelago islands and the wide sea, experiencing sails and motorboats from a viewpoint, picking berries and mushrooms or taking the bus into the tourist town of Strömstad to experience the city pulse, walking on piers or just sitting and enjoying on a sofa in one of the city's parks. The cottage with its seaside location is also a perfect starting point for fishing, kayaking or for exploring all of Northern Bohuslän and southern Norway. The annex with its sunny location and beautiful sea view is located next to the main property in an undisturbed location. Park right outside the entrance and via the side of the patio area you reach the entrance door. Once inside you are greeted by a large open living room consisting of a kitchen area with a stove with oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee maker, kitchen furniture, sofa bed and a bunk bed. Bathroom with toilet and shower. The outside of the annex is dominated by a large, nice patio with sea view, summer furniture and barbecue. From the patio a staircase leads down to a large lawn that is perfect for all kinds of games and play. This all together provides many wonderful opportunities for sunbathing, socializing and cozy barbecues where you discuss the day's adventures or plan for new ones.

In Strömstad there is a large selection of activities, rich restaurant life, pleasant shopping in small shops that are located close to each other or why not just sit and enjoy all the boats in the harbor area. Take the bus into the city center and all the entertainment or to the bathing areas of which there are several to choose from. If you want to experience islands and the archipelago environment, there are several boat charters and bathing boat trips from the harbor in the center out to several archipelago islands such as Furholmen or the Koster Islands but also to neighboring Norway. It is also possible to rent a boat or kayak for your own explorations. For those interested in golf, there are several 18-hole courses in the area and nearby there is access to a tennis court.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
