About the holiday home

Here you will live comfortably and sunnily, with close proximity to everything that Strömstad and its surroundings have to offer. With its location close to the sea, the cottage is a perfect base for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and exploring Northern Bohuslän.

Welcome to a cottage with an open floor plan, featuring a kitchen equipped with a stove, fridge/freezer, and microwave, as well as a living room area. The open layout also includes a sleeping space with two single beds (80x200 cm). The bathroom with a shower and washing machine is accessed via an internal staircase (3 steps). In the annex, there is a double bed that can be split into two single beds (75x200 cm). On the terrace, you will find a barbecue and outdoor furniture for cozy breakfast moments or relaxing barbecue evenings, where you can sit and discuss the day's adventures or plan tomorrow's excursions as the sun sets in the northwest. The property also features a large, lovely lawn with plenty of space for all kinds of games and activities.

Strömstad offers a wide selection of activities, a vibrant restaurant scene, and pleasant shopping in small shops located close to each other—or why not just sit and enjoy all the boats in the harbor area? Take the bus into the town center and all its entertainments, or to one of the many beaches available to choose from. If you want to experience the islands and the archipelago environment, there are several boat charters and taxi boats from the harbor in the center out to various archipelago islands, such as Furholmen or the Koster Islands, but also to neighboring Norway. It is also possible to rent a boat or kayak for your own expeditions. For golf enthusiasts, there are several 18-hole courses in the area, and right next to the villa, there is access to a tennis court.

At the Swedish-Norwegian border stands Dragonkullen, where on clear days you can see Gausa Mountain in Norway, 170 km away. Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
