About the holiday home

Welcome to the tranquility of beautiful Lalleröd which is located very close to Nösund on Orust. Here you live in a classic red summer cottage with white knots and a terrace with outdoor furniture. A soft lawn for bare feet and swings and a cozy arbor with its own outdoor furniture.

The entrance is at the back of the house and inside you are met by a hall. Narrow bathroom with toilet (septic tank) and shower cubicle and washbasin. Complete kitchen with separate dining area in the living room. The cottage has two bedrooms where one of the rooms has a double bed -160cm and the other bedroom has a bunk bed -90 / 120cm. For those who are interested in music or knowledgeable, there is a piano right by the wood burning stove in the living room. Here you can enjoy on the sofa or armchairs in the evenings. Via a beautiful glass veranda you come out to the nice terrace with outdoor furniture where you will basically eat all meals of the week if the weather gods are in a good mood.

The cottage is only 350m from the very popular bathing bay - Gårvik. Here comes the area's summer residence and enjoys salt-sprinkled baths. If you want to enjoy the view, the owner recommends that you go up the mountain via their stairs behind the house. Here you sit high and can enjoy the evenings. If you prefer shade and coolness, you can easily get it in the corner of the lawn, where the sun does not reach in the afternoon. In the meantime, children can play freely in the garden, swing in the swings or create their own games in the playhouse at the front of the house.

Nearby, the ferry that leads you over to the beautiful island of Lyr, which has been inhabited since the Stone Age. Today, about 160 households live here. A nice island to take your bikes and visit. Here is Restaurant Bryggvingen right by the water and if you want to have your own picnic with you, it is nice to make different stops and enjoy your own adventures.

The summer at Orust offers many goodies in the form of festivals and events. The city of Gothenburg with the well-known amusement park Liseberg and Universeum is only 80 km from the cottage. Youth gangs under the age of 25 cannot book this accommodation and a guardian must be present throughout the week in the accommodation.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
