Welcome to a newly renovated cottage in idyllic Orust!

Here you will live in a bright and modern cottage - surrounded by Orust's idyllic and lush landscape. Enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious terrace, where the sun warms much of the day - perfect for both barbecue evenings and pleasant socializing. Large green area on the plot for play, games or just a moment of rest.

Inside, a bright living room awaits you thanks to large windows with access to the terrace. A spacious sofa, dining area for four and a modern kitchen equipped with fridge, freezer, stove, oven and microwave - everything you need to easily arrange good meals. The cottage has two separate bedrooms, both with comfortable double beds. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower.

On the plot there is an annex of a simpler nature with extra beds: a family bunk bed with a 120 cm wide lower bed and 80 cm upper bed and an extra, sturdy mattress (80cm) on the floor.

Discover Orust – Bohuslän’s green heart

A smaller beach is within 5 km for a quick swim. In charming Slussen, a swimming area with a jetty and diving tower awaits, as well as a restaurant and entertainment scene at Slussens Pensionat. In Henån, about 10 minutes by car, there is a grocery store and service. Torp Shopping Center in Uddevalla (18km) offers a larger selection of shopping and restaurants. A short walk from the cottage is Fårfarmen Töllås with a farm shop and cozy summer café – perfect for an excursion in a rural setting. Hafsten (9,2km) offers both a nice sandy beach and for the adventurous, a fantastic high-altitude course among the treetops awaits you that must be experienced! The entertainment city of Gothenburg with Liseberg, among others, takes just over 1 hour by car.

Winding roads lead the way, and there are many charming hidden gems to explore along both the east and west coasts of Orust. Orust Tvärs is a 44 km long nature and culture trail that stretches from coast to coast, reaching over 100 meters above sea level in some places. The hiking trail is part of the Kuststigen trail, which runs through all of Bohuslän.

On this beautiful West Coast island, the sparkling sea is always present. Let a sense of calm take over as you stroll among boathouses, cliffs, and bays. The archipelago outside Hälleviksstrand, with its narrow inlets and shallow channels, is perfect for kayaking if you want to glide along and feel at one with nature for a while. Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
