About the holiday home

Newly renovated in 2025. Fresh and tastefully decorated apartment on the ground floor of a villa, located in a quiet residential area with beautiful sea views and a good standard in the small fishing village of Barrevik, just outside Hälleviksstrand on western Orust.

The sea is just a short walk away, with several lovely beaches to choose from. Start your day with a morning swim from the sandy beach or the rocks, then sit down with a freshly brewed cup of coffee in the morning sun on your private patio! The whole family will enjoy their stay here!

The apartment is located on the ground floor of a villa and has its own entrance and patio. You have access to your own part of the owner's garden, with a lawn suitable for playing and games. A perfect accommodation for a small family looking for a comfortable stay, a high standard and a seaside location close to many sights and places to visit. The apartment also has a cross trainer, perfect if you want to keep up with your exercise routine during your holiday.

The apartment features a bright and beautiful kitchen with a dining area where you can enjoy the sea views, as well as a living room with a TV offering various channels, DVD player and Chromecast, and a modern sofa bed (140 cm). Wi-Fi is available. There is also a beautiful bedroom with a double bed, a WC, and a combined bathroom/laundry room with a spa bath where you can enjoy a relaxing soak after a day of activities.

You are only a stone's throw from three different bathing spots, where you can choose between a shallow sandy beach, swimming from the rocks or taking a dip from the pier. Several charming archipelago villages, such as Hälleviksstrand (3.5 km) and Mollösund (5 km), are just a short drive away. The area also has a harbour kiosk serving delicious hamburgers made with locally sourced meat.

The area offers excellent opportunities for hiking and fishing from the rocks. Gothenburg, with its famous Liseberg amusement park, is approximately 80 km away.

Winding roads lead the way, and there are many charming hidden gems to explore along both the east and west coasts of Orust. The picturesque fishing villages provide perfect stops where you can feel the echoes of history. Orust Tvärs is a 44 km long nature and culture trail that stretches from coast to coast, reaching over 100 meters above sea level in some places. The hiking trail is part of the Kuststigen trail, which runs through all of Bohuslän.

On this beautiful West Coast island, the sparkling sea is always present. Let a sense of calm take over as you stroll among boathouses, cliffs, and bays. The archipelago outside Hälleviksstrand, with its narrow inlets and shallow channels, is perfect for kayaking if you want to glide along and feel at one with nature for a while. For those wanting to explore more of the fantastic archipelago, there are plenty of boat trips that take you out among salt-sprayed granite cliffs and contrasting landscapes.

This part of Sweden is also full of exciting excursion destinations for the whole family and cozy archipelago gems to visit.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
