Welcome to a charming little red cottage – a rural oasis where you live next door to both mushroom and berry forests and pastures where animals often roam. Explore the beautiful surroundings, take a dip in the sea or enjoy the tranquillity in the garden. The cottage is surrounded by a large lawn with plenty of space for play, games and lazy summer days.

Inside, a simple and homely environment awaits. The kitchen is well equipped for shared meals and everything you need to fix your holiday favourites. There are two cozy bedrooms, both with comfortable single beds. In the living room, there is room for two more people on the sofa bed. There are two modernly designed, fully functional bathrooms, one with a bathtub and the other with a washing machine.

In the surrounding area, there are several nice excursion destinations within a short distance, including extensive forests for walks, rural farm shops and nature experiences typical of the coastal landscape around Kode. The nearest place to swim is in Timmervik, but Aröds badplats is a popular seaside resort with a sandy beach and also cliffs for those who want to fish. If you are keen on shopping, Stenungsund has around 60 shops to find bargains in. The big city of Gothenburg, with the well-known Liseberg amusement park, restaurants and more shopping, is a drive away. The nearest service area is Kode 6 km away, with a shop and a pizzeria.

Take a trip to Marstrand and experience the powerful atmosphere at Carlstens Fästning, the quay with boats of all kinds and cozy neighbourhoods with car-free streets. A perfect place for those who want to relax, discover the surroundings and enjoy a genuine summer stay in the countryside.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

Extras

On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.

Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing. If you choose to go by ferry please remember to order your tickets well in advance.
