About the holiday home

Holiday home located in Langeland's most famous holiday area, by one of Denmark's best bathing beaches. The house includes, among other things, a practical, open kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, and a dining area with direct access to a sun terrace with a fire pit. Access to a carport with a shed containing a chest freezer and the possibility to use the small outdoor kitchen/fish cleaning area.

The living room has a wood-burning stove and comfortable leather furniture, a TV, satellite dish, stereo system with a PlayStation, and 2 DVD players. From the living room, there is a view of the pool area which includes a swimming pool, whirlpool/spa tub, sauna, and one of the house's 2 toilets/bathrooms, which is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. From the living room and the pool area, there is access to a terrace facing the large garden, where the youngest family members can use the sandbox, swings, and play tower, while the older family members can play a football match on the lawn. There is also a dedicated bonfire area.

Langeland is idyllic, offering plenty of nature and small, cozy villages such as Rudkøbing with its small old houses and streets. The old Tranekær Castle is also worth a visit with its new attraction, the "Landscape-ark Park." A little further away, you will find H.C. Andersen's birthplace, Odense, or Egeskov Castle with many children's attractions and museums. Take a trip to Funen (Fyn) and visit some of the charming market towns. All around Langeland and Funen there are hundreds of small islands forming what is called the Archipelago of South Funen – a world of small communities, an incredible paradise. Here you will find a wonderful, relaxed holiday atmosphere combined with a lot of exciting activities. Everywhere you can admire the sight of the small, half-timbered cottages, and here you get the feeling that time has stopped – just the ideal place for relaxation and holiday. The smiling, green islands are a paradise for bike lovers. Many visitors come by boat, but there are also ferryboats from one island to another. Ærø, Lyø, Avernakø or Drejø – all of them have the most charming, small port with a cosy atmosphere.

If you wish to visit the Archipelago of South Funen you can make use of the path called Øhavsstien (path of the Archipelago of South Funen), one of the longest and most beautiful trails in Denmark for hikers. It will take you through amazing nature areas to villages, market towns and fantastic manor houses.

Ærø The best way to get to know this island is on your bike. From one end of the island to the other there are 25 km with small, charming villages and hilltops with an amazing view to the sea. You must visit Marstal Maritime Museum or admire the bottle ships at Flaske Peter’s place. (Bottle Ship Peter). Do not miss a walk in the narrow, winding streets of Ærøskøbing with their tiny houses or a walk along the beach with its colourful beach huts.

Langeland This island with the most wonderful nature has many different sandy beaches, fine fishing possibilities and the great “Tomb of King Humble”, an unusual, prehistoric find from the Stone Age. You must also visit the various farm shops and the wild horses in Bagenkop.

Funen is connected to Zealand via the Great Belt Bridge and to Jutland via the Little Belt Bridge. And in the South Funen Archipelago, small and large ferries as well as bridges connect the area with the outside world.

Along the Great Belt coast, on North and South Funen and in the southern Little Belt area, there are good, sandy beaches and calm water where you can swim. In the Little Belt, the current can be strong, so remember to follow local instructions. And in the South Funen Archipelago there are some lovely opportunities for swimming and, since nowhere is very far away, you won´t find it hard to find a good, sheltered beach.

On Funen, you will also find Denmark's third largest city Odense, where the world-famous Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen grew up. Approx. a 40 minute drive south of Odense you will find Funen's main attraction Egeskov Castle, which was voted Denmark's most attractive castle in the autumn of 2017 by DanCenter's holidaymakers. You can also visit Egeskov´s Veteran Car Museum, take a stroll through the castle's many beautiful gardens or try your hand at "Tree Top Walking" at tree top height!

Rental agreement and directions

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement containing all necessary information. On the first page you will find information about the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a directions on how to find the house. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due dates.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key as well as an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses (electricity, heating, water, etc.) are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Time of arrival

Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you can not reach your destination until eg. late evening, our local offices will be closed. Therefore please contact us in time to make arrangements with regards to the key and the deposit. The contact information of the local office can be found on your rental agreement or under the menu Kontakt on dancenter.dk

Extras

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils, duvets and pillows necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can be rented at the local office or online, if you prefer not to bring these items yourselves.

When you book a baby cot, please note that we can not guarantee space for the cot in the master bedroom. If the house description say there is a cot in the house and you only need one, booking is unnecessary.

You can also book delivery of the extras you rent. This way you do not need to drive several times between the holiday home and local office.

Please note that in high season, extras might be sold out. Therefore we recommend you to always book extras and final cleaning when booking your holiday home.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
