About the holiday home

Renovated vacation home with swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna located on a sunny plot near Marielyst Beach.

The holiday home was built in 1989 and underwent extensive renovation in 2021, which included a brand new pool and spa area.

The pool area includes a 2-person hot tub with a heater for rapid heating and a pool. The water temperature is between 24 and 28°C. There is also access to a sauna via the bathroom for 4-5 people.

There are three bedrooms with two double beds, one sleeping space in a wide single bed, two sleeping spaces in a bunk bed, and two sleeping spaces in a loft.

The open kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, stove with ceramic hob and convection oven, extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle, etc.

There are two bathrooms with showers and two toilets. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating. The cottage and pool are heated by two energy-efficient heat pumps.

The living room is furnished with a wood-burning stove, dining area, and sofa group.

In addition to the pool, hot tub, and sauna, the house offers several indoor and outdoor activities, including a PlayStation, swing set, darts, trampoline (use at your own risk/insurance), and garden grill.

From the pool area, there is access to a partially screened south-facing terrace where you can relax in the patio furniture. In the 1000 m² garden, you will also find a soccer goal. The garden is furnished with several wooden terraces.

Free access to the Falster Swimming Center. Not available for rental to youth groups.

About Falster

Falster is a relatively flat island with a landscape that varies from open fields to thick forests, and with a large number of good sand beaches.

Falster offers a lot of opportunities to enjoy an active holiday outdoors. You will find many places offering horseback trips e.g. through the forests on special tracks for horseback riding or at Sønder Kohave in Nykøbing Falster, an old forest with some of its trees more than 200 years old. Falster also offers a lot of good fishing spots. Take a trip along the coasts and try your luck at catching garfish, trout and cod or go for the more safe approach and visit one of the many Put and Take lakes. Since Falster is a flat island, exploring the area on bicycles is an obvious choice, and bike rentals are found in many places.

Falster’s largest town is Nykøbing Falster at Guldborgsund (sound). The town has a lot of historic interesting houses and places, the town square among others, dating back to the Medieval. The town’s most known building is Klosterkirken, a gothic church from the 15th century. Take a trip to Guldborgsund Zoo or the Medieval Centre, an exhibition of life in the late 14th century with various exhibitions and workshops for the children.

The southern part of Falster has the holiday town Marielyst which is especially known for one of the best beaches in Denmark. The town is visited by a large number of happy holiday guests, giving the town a lively atmosphere. During the summer the small town has a lot of shops, restaurants and discotheques.

South of Marielyst is Gedser Odde (cape), the southern most point in Denmark. The cape has some 5-7 metres high cliffs best explored on walking trips along the coast. A lot of birdwatchers come here to watch the migrating birds, especially in the fall.

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and directions

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement containing all necessary information. On the first page you will find information about the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a directions on how to find the house. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due dates.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key as well as an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses (electricity, heating, water, etc.) are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you can not reach your destination until eg. late evening, our local offices will be closed. Therefore please contact us in time to make arrangements with regards to the key and the deposit. Extras

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils, duvets and pillows necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can be rented at the local office or online, if you prefer not to bring these items yourselves.

When you book a baby cot, please note that we can not guarantee space for the cot in the master bedroom. If the house description say there is a cot in the house and you only need one, booking is unnecessary.

You can also book delivery of the extras you rent. This way you do not need to drive several times between the holiday home and local office.

Please note that in high season, extras might be sold out. Therefore we recommend you to always book extras and final cleaning when booking your holiday home.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
