About the holiday home

This vacation home with hot tub and sauna is located in a child-friendly location at the end of a cul-de-sac in the scenic Arrild Ferieby. The holiday home is well laid out with a nice entrance hall with washing machine and dryer and a large kitchen/family room open to the living room, which has high ceilings and lovely light from the large south-facing windows. There are seven beds in three bedrooms with good beds and ample closet space. The house has a guest toilet and a large bathroom with a spa bath and direct access to the house's sauna. From the living room, there is direct access to the house's covered terrace, where there is, of course, a barbecue and garden furniture available. There is plenty of space for ball games and play on the large lawn. There is a small trampoline (max. 50 kg) on the property (use at your own risk/insurance) and a small slide. The garden is fenced in for dogs.
In Arrild Ferieby, you will find a wealth of activities for young and old. These include a swimming pool with Denmark's longest water slide at 107 meters, two large fishing lakes, mini golf with international targets, a roller skating rink, tennis court, petanque court, playground, soccer field, and restaurant. Free access to the water park. Not available for rental to youth groups.

About the area

About Arrild

Arrild is a rather small village in the southern part of Jutland. The village is particularly known for its holiday park consisting of about 400 holiday cottages and a camping site. As the village is situated very close to the German border, the village has a lot of German holiday guests during summer, but the place also attracts many Danish guests.

Arrild is surrounded by beautiful nature areas, among others Hønning Plantation and Lovrup Skov (wood). Furthermore Arrild is situated close to the North Sea and its beautiful and child friendly beaches. From here it is easy to go visiting Rømø (small island) where they have an annual kite festival and a jazz festival. If you prefer to go for a swim, you have the finest wide sandy beaches within close reach.

Should you like to visit some of the towns nearby, both Aabenraa and Sønderborg is worth a visit. In Aabenraa you may visit the Aabenraas Museum/Sønderjyllands Søfartmuseum (maritime museum) or Brundlund Slot (castle), the latter dating back to 1411. Part of the castle is now an art museum. Sønderborg is the largest town in the southern part of Jutland, beautifully situated on both sides of the Als Sund (sound). In this area there are still traces of the wars between Denmark and the Prussian army in the 19th century, among other places at Dybbøl Mølle. In the Dybbøl Banke History Centre the famous and fatal battle of Dybbøl Mølle 1864 is recreated before your eyes.

About Midtjylland

Central Jutland is for connoisseurs – far from the sea and beach, but even though dominated by the water. In the middle of the peninsula the beautiful Silkeborg lakes delight everybody. From the Himmelbjerg (“Sky Mountain”) with its 147 metres you have a 360 degree view from the tower. On all the lakes and canals you see the canoes gliding by, and the happy fishing enthusiasts are thrilled to go fishing for fresh water fish in the Put and Take lakes.

This area may be far away from the sea and beach, but here you have lots of other ways to enjoy the water of the many canals, fiords and lake spread over the area. Enjoy the wonderful view when going by paddle steamer on the Silkeborg Lakes or when taking the children to the Put and Take lakes for fishing.

If you choose to go on holiday in Central Jutland, do not miss Aarhus, the second largest city in Denmark. In this interesting city you will find many different cultural activities, shopping possibilities and exciting places to visit. You must also visit ARoS, a most interesting museum, and the world famous Aarhus Gamle By (Old Town of Aarhus).

Before the holiday

Rental agreement and directions

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement containing all necessary information. On the first page you will find information about the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a directions on how to find the house. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due dates.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key as well as an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses (electricity, heating, water, etc.) are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

Time of arrival

Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences.

Arrival outside opening hours

If you can not reach your destination until eg. late evening, our local offices will be closed. Therefore please contact us in time to make arrangements with regards to the key and the deposit. Extras

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils, duvets and pillows necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can be rented at the local office or online, if you prefer not to bring these items yourselves.

When you book a baby cot, please note that we can not guarantee space for the cot in the master bedroom. If the house description say there is a cot in the house and you only need one, booking is unnecessary.

You can also book delivery of the extras you rent. This way you do not need to drive several times between the holiday home and local office.

Please note that in high season, extras might be sold out. Therefore we recommend you to always book extras and final cleaning when booking your holiday home.

What is a cleaning audit charge?

We charge customers a small cleaning audit fee to prepare the room for the next guest, even as some outgoing guests prefer to clean the room themselves. Are such guests still required to pay a cleaning charge? Yes. Please let us explain.

While we appreciate guests cleaning the room themselves, we nonetheless conduct an audit to ensure that the room is in excellent shape. The cleaning audit fee we levy is for the time and effort involved in checking that our cleaning standards have been met, so that we can provide our customers with the best experience.
