Charming cottage with a good standard and quiet rural location in southwest Orust. Here you have walking distance to a nice swimming area and lovely nature plot with barbecue area that borders the nature reserve with nice hiking trails.
The cottage is on one level and accommodates two bedrooms, one of which has a modern day bed that is easily pulled out and turned into a double bed for the night. Bright and modern kitchen with access to the terrace that extends around the house. Spacious living room with warming fireplace, for cool evenings and TV corner with sofa bed. Fully tiled fresh bathroom.
The large terrace that goes around the whole house is partly under a roof so you can also sit outside and enjoy in cooler weather. Here you can enjoy the morning sun over a good cup of coffee and then follow the sun's path in the sky and move to the back of the house, to enjoy completely unabashedly the afternoon and evening sun. Lovely natural plot that borders both meadows and forest with plenty of berries and mushrooms where you also have good chances to see both small game and moose.
About 1 km to Gårvik's nice bathing place with both rocks, jetty and sandy beach. Nearby Nösund also has two nice bathing spots. The small town was formerly a well-known seaside resort and is now a well-preserved community with a nice tennis court and excellent hiking trails close to the knots. Here is also the well-known Nösunds Värdshus with a good restaurant and entertainment by famous artists.
Feel free to make an excursion to the nearby picturesque island of Lyr (2 km) which can be reached by free car ferry with crossing in just 3 minutes. Lyrön was formerly called a Bohuslän in miniature with its bare, barren sea side and green, leafy inside. Here are ancient monuments from the Bronze Age, idyllic, green surroundings with small roads and several nice bathing places. On the island there is also the well-visited Restaurant Bryggvingen which also has a fish shop and is open in summer. If you are interested in shopping, you should not miss a visit to Göksäter with the bargain department store Arvid Eriksson, which is popularly called "Little Ullared" and is 11 km from your home.
The summer at Orust offers many goodies in the form of festivals and events. The city of Gothenburg with the well-known amusement park Liseberg 80 km.

West coast Bohuslän Warm cliffs, red boat houses, perfect fishing places, water sports and exciting tourist attractions are just some out of many experiences that Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast can offer you. There are a lot of activities for families with children. For instance you can visit an amusement park or a zoological park, exciting fortresses or museums where you can explore and experience.
Bohuslän has its own beautiful archipelago. Go visiting the Koster islands in the northern part of Bohuslän where you can enjoy the beautiful nature on your rented bicycle. You can also travel by boat to Bohuslän from Strømstad, a nice town, especially during the summer.
Sotenäs municipality consists of both large and small communities. Smögenbryggan is the most famous tourist attraction in the area. People from near and far come in order to see the lively boat traffic, shop in the stores and enjoy a nice meal in the cosy restaurants nearby.
Lysekil is situated in the outermost part of the boat harbour, and even if you stay in the centre of the town, the water and the boats are always quite near. A walk in Gamlestan is also worth experiencing.
The Skaftø peninsula is now known as the “salt island”, Saltøen, thanks to the Swedish television series of the same name. Picturesque places like e.g. Fiskebäckskil, Grundsund and Rågårdsvik are all well-attended in the summer.
At Törn and Orust there are nice bays and a beautiful nature. There are a lot of boats, and from Tjörn into the archipelago you can go on different boat trips. The short distance to Göteborg makes a day trip to Liseberg perfect.

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find information the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page there is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have while on holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.
On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.
If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.
Time of arrival Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the contact person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.
On the detachable post card at the bottom of the rental agreement, miscellaneous extras can be ordered - however only those stated in the description of your holiday home.
All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons, which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can in some places be rented.
On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.
All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.
If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Sweden. Therefore please contact the Swedish Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.
If you have booked a holiday home in Sweden you can either go via Copenhagen across the Øresund Bridge or take a ferry. The bridge toll is 225,- Danish Kroner/crossing.
