“Wer Strandspaziergänge liebt ist hier fehl am Platze! Das sollte durchaus auch in den Werbeprospekten erwähnt werden. Für alle diejenigen, die die Ruhe (am Haus) suchen gibt es nicht viele schönere Plätze!”

“Nyd udsigten og naturen. Kom ud at bade og slap af”
What did you especially like about the holiday house?
“Vi kan godt lide at et sommerhus er simpelt. Beliggenhed og udsigt etc. er vigtigere end luksus. Da vi tilmed var meget heldige med vejret, var huset perfekt for os, men givetvis ikke alle.”

About the holiday home

This charming holiday home is set on an elevated plot near the sea in Ödsmålsmosse, north of Kungälv. The cottage has a spacious terrace and a beautiful view of the sea. It's only 19 kilometres from Marstrand, the sailing metropolis of the Swedish west coast.

The cottage features a family room with a dining table and a sofa bed. The small, homely kitchen has the basic amenities. On the mezzanine you will find two single beds and there's a double bed in the annex. The lovely terrace has outdoor furniture, sun loungers, and a great view of the sea. There's also an outdoor grill.

A set of stairs takes you down the mountain to the lovely natural beach which is equipped with a bathing dock. There is also a larger sandy beach within walking distance. The nearest town is Kode, 7 kilometres, with a shop and a pizza place.

The area offers a lot to see and do and there are many charming seaside towns to visit. Marstrand is only 19 kilometres away. Or visit the nature reserve in Svartdalen, with it's beautiful lakes, excellent for swimming in. Gothenburg is only 40 kilometres away, here you can visit the popular amusement park Liseberg or Universeum. Stenungsund is 24 kilometres away and has about 60 different shops.

If you are interested in history then you have come to the right place! Bohuslän has been populated since the stone ages and there are many interesting ancient remains here, stone carvings, ancient grave fields, and a stone circle. Bohuslän is thought to be the home of Beowulf from the Old English epic poem.

Welcome to a delightful little holiday home in a beautiful area!

About the area

About Kungälv

West coast Bohuslän Warm cliffs, red boat houses, perfect fishing places, water sports and exciting tourist attractions are just some out of many experiences that Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast can offer you. There are a lot of activities for families with children. For instance you can visit an amusement park or a zoological park, exciting fortresses or museums where you can explore and experience.

Bohuslän has its own beautiful archipelago. Go visiting the Koster islands in the northern part of Bohuslän where you can enjoy the beautiful nature on your rented bicycle. You can also travel by boat to Bohuslän from Strømstad, a nice town, especially during the summer.

Sotenäs municipality consists of both large and small communities. Smögenbryggan is the most famous tourist attraction in the area. People from near and far come in order to see the lively boat traffic, shop in the stores and enjoy a nice meal in the cosy restaurants nearby.

Lysekil is situated in the outermost part of the boat harbour, and even if you stay in the centre of the town, the water and the boats are always quite near. A walk in Gamlestan is also worth experiencing.

The Skaftø peninsula is now known as the “salt island”, Saltøen, thanks to the Swedish television series of the same name. Picturesque places like e.g. Fiskebäckskil, Grundsund and Rågårdsvik are all well-attended in the summer.

At Törn and Orust there are nice bays and a beautiful nature. There are a lot of boats, and from Tjörn into the archipelago you can go on different boat trips. The short distance to Göteborg makes a day trip to Liseberg perfect.
