? Rental agreement and route description

Shortly after booking holiday accommodation through DanCenter you will receive your booking confirmation by post. This confirmation constitutes your rental agreement and contains all necessary information. On the first page you will find the addresses of your holiday home and the key pick up place, as well as a route description. At the bottom of the page is a detachable post card for ordering miscellaneous extras, which can be useful to have during your holiday. On the following pages you will find the invoice for the stay you have booked complete with transfer order/inpayment form, stating the due date.

On arrival at the key pick up point, you will be asked to present your rental agreement whereupon you will be handed your key. More often than not electricity, water and other charges are included in the rental amount. Where this is not the case you will also receive an electricity-envelope on which the meter readings of all consumption dependant expenses (electricity, heating, gas, water and telephone) are to be noted upon arrival as well as departure.

? Notice of arrival

If you wish to rent a boat or engine however, you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

? Time of arrival

Arrival can take place from 4 p.m. on the day the rental period commences. If you expect to arrive at a different time please arrange this with the key person in advance. Contact information can be found on your rental agreement.

? Extras

All holiday homes are equipped with all kitchen utensils necessary for the maximum amount of persons which the house can room. Bed linen, dish cloths, table cloths etc. can some places be rented, if you prefer not to bring these items yourself.

On the post card you can also order the final cleaning, if this is mentioned in the description of your holiday home.

All extras must be ordered in conjunction with sending the notice of arrival no less than 14 days before commencement of the rental period. If you wish to rent a boat or engine however you need to give notice no less than a month before arrival.

? Pets

If you have rented a holiday home in which pets are permitted please remember that it is a lengthy and quite difficult process to obtain all necessary permits for the import of pets to Norway. Therefore please contact the Norwegian Tourist Board or embassy well in advance.

? Ferry connections and bridge crossings

If you have booked a holiday home in Norway a ferry crossing is nearly impossible to avoid. Please remember to order your tickets well in advance. Further information with regards to relevant ferry connections www.trafikken.dk

Many Norwegian holiday homes are located on smaller islands. Regardless of a house's location however, the shortest route to a holiday home is often via the various ferry routes. Therefore look into which ferries might be of interest to you in advance and check when these sail. On www.nrk.no you can find a listing of all Norwegian ferry connections.

? Road toll

In some cities such as Oslo and Bergen a road toll is payable on entering/exiting the city. Also many of the smaller byroads in Norway are under private administration and using such roads a toll will be payable.
