The area

Eastern Himmerland

Eastern Jutland is a fertile area with a beautiful nature offering many activities and attractions.

It is interesting to visit Hobro situated in a subclacial stream trench – a continuation of Mariager Fiord. Here you can visit Fyrkat Vikingehus (Viking house). You should also visit the small town of Mariager – consisting of small, low, well-preserved half-timbered houses on paving stones. The town is called the town of roses –and it is easy to see why.

In Øster Hurup and nearby you find beautiful children-friendly beaches.

Strand Øst-Himmerland
