As a tourist in the Flensburg Fiord area you will find a wide range of fantastic holiday adventures – among other things there is a lot of historical relics. The Danish-German border at Kruså is a kind of gateway to a variety of holiday experiences by land and sea on both sides of the fiord. All royalists can get detailed information on the royal family in the Flensburg Fiord area: Visit the castle of the royal house of Glücksburg. Also the Danish, royal family descends from the Glücksburg House. Gråsten Castle is one of the favourite places for the royal Danish family to gather during their holiday. The castle church and the castle park can be visited when the royal family is not present. Flensburg and Sønderborg are interesting market towns. Flensburg is known for its shipping traditions, and Sønderborg as a very active industrial town as well as a living market town.
